What duallo is, what it isn't, and how it fits in your operation.
Answers to the questions prospects ask most. If you don't see yours, send us a note.
What is this, exactly?
Is duallo a 3D scan or LiDAR product?
No. duallo works from ordinary walkdown video filmed on a phone or GoPro. No scanning hardware, no point-cloud capture, no LiDAR. The output is a findings report, not a 3D model.
Does duallo update P&IDs, PFDs, or schematics?
No. duallo doesn't touch documentation systems. The output is findings from walkdown video, leaks, corrosion, missed inspection areas, hazards. Documentation stays where it lives today.
Is this a digital twin?
No. Digital twins try to model the whole plant. duallo captures what your team walks past and turns it into a reviewable record with findings flagged. Much lighter, much more focused, much faster to start.
How is duallo different from DroneDeploy, Doxel, or Matterport?
Those tools require specialised capture and produce a site model. duallo works from your existing walkdowns and the deliverable is findings, not a model.
| duallo | DroneDeploy / Doxel / Matterport | |
|---|---|---|
| Capture | Routine walkdown video your team already films | Dedicated drone, scanner, or photographer capture |
| Hardware | A phone or GoPro | Specialised capture hardware |
| Deliverable | A findings report, with the reviewable walk as support | A 3D site model / digital twin |
| To start | Send footage; no new routine or IT integration | Scheduled capture missions and setup |
How does it work?
What hardware do we need?
A phone or a GoPro. That's it. No scanners, no drones, no dedicated capture devices, no integrations to land a first pilot.
How long should the walkdown video be?
50 seconds is enough to start. Longer walks work too. duallo processes whatever you send, there's no minimum, no maximum, no special protocol.
Does our team need training?
No. Your team films the walkdowns they're already doing. We do the processing. If there's anything specific that helps the model (lighting, angle, etc.) we'll surface it in feedback, never as a precondition.
How long until we get the findings report back?
Typically under 2 hours from upload.
What does the findings report look like?
A list of flagged findings, each with a location reference, visual context (still or clip), and a severity indicator. Plus the reviewable walk itself, so your team can revisit the captured area in their own time. See how it works.
Where does it fit in our workflow?
Does this replace our MI inspections?
No. duallo lives between routine walkdowns and formal MI. Your inspection program continues as is. duallo adds visual evidence of plant state in the gap between formal inspections.
Does it integrate with our CMMS?
Findings export in a structure that flows into existing work-order systems. We work out specifics for your particular CMMS during the first pilot, it's deliberately not a precondition for getting started.
Can we use this for PHA or MoC prep?
Yes. Captured walkdown footage provides visual evidence of current site state, useful for PHA cycles, MoC reviews, and any process that benefits from "what does the plant actually look like right now" rather than "what was on the drawing."
Safety, security, compliance.
Is duallo certified for formal inspections?
No. The findings are leads for your inspectors and maintenance team, not formal inspection conclusions. duallo doesn't issue API-certified reports.
How is our footage stored and secured?
Footage is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in dedicated tenant storage, and retained only as long as your team needs it. Full details (hosting region, retention policy, deletion guarantees) get shared before any pilot, just ask.
Do we own the outputs?
Yes. All outputs are yours to keep, export, and route into your existing systems. No expiry. No lock-in.
Does this require IT involvement at our site?
No special IT integration is needed for the initial pilot. Upload through a secure link. Anything heavier, SSO, on-prem hosting, CMMS direct integration, gets discussed once you've seen the output and decided it solves a real problem.
Commercial.
What does it cost?
The first walkdown is free, so you can see the output before any money is discussed. Pricing scales with scope, a bounded, single-area pilot is a small fixed engagement; multi-site programs are priced annually by number of sites, walk frequency, and how deep the CMMS integration goes.
You'll get a firm number once we've seen your scope. For a ballpark to take to procurement, email us, we'll send a range the same day.
Honest objections.
Our team already does walkdowns. Why do we need this?
Your team probably catches most of what's visible to a trained eye. duallo catches what gets missed under time pressure, and turns the walk into a reviewable record so findings don't sit in inspectors' heads. The cost is 50 seconds of footage. The downside is bounded.
Won't this make our crews feel like they're being monitored?
Footage is captured by your team during their existing walkdowns. There's no surveillance aspect, duallo only sees what your team chose to film. Output goes to whoever you decide: typically MI, maintenance, or reliability leads.
We've tried inspection tools before and they didn't stick. Why is this different?
Most inspection tools require new hardware, new workflows, and new training. duallo works with what your team already does, phones, walkdowns, existing CMMS. The friction is low because we don't ask you to change anything to find out if it works.
